eCash was a digital-based system that facilitated the transfer of funds anonymously. Government Set To Roll Out E-Cash Transactions in Ministries and LG’s across the country. With this implementation, the e-Cash system will enable Ministries , Agencies and Local Governments to streamline and effectively manage cash transactions.
As a process, Bank of Uganda has plans to submit to the Ministry of Finance a National Payments Policy to regulate digital payments.
